October 1989 was a pretty interesting time in the US. Of course, we all know what happened in San Francisco on October 17th, where a 6.9 earthquake hit, killing 67 and canceling a World Series game. The infamous Herschel Walker trade from the Cowboys to Vikings also occurred in the NFL this week in 1989.
